After School Programs - a Different Way of Learning

This presentation will discuss 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) which are grant funding projects through Illinois State Board of Education. These programs offer academic enrichment opportunities, including STEM subjects, to students in grade K - 12 throughout Illinois. The 21st CCLC programs provide a safe learning environment for students to experience new opportunities. Come learn more about the 21st CCLC programs in Illinois. The audience will also have an opportunity to hear from two grantees - Urbana School District #116 and Driven and Empowered Youth and how they have integrated STEM into their Middle and High school programs.
