Acquiring a strong vocational skill set can be challenging when limited by a label that prevents one to shine. Barriers can arise when students with disabilities are placed within the community. Educators can bridge the gap between these students and their community through successful partnerships with community-based experience. Combined with proper assessment tools, educationally-based practices, and a rigorous classroom curriculum, post-secondary success can be achieved.
